Haha less so now.
I flew from ATL to Houston and picked it up and drove 700 miles home in a day through clear skies and thunderstorms on old tires with a bad alignment; I felt like I was learning to drive all over again - same nervousness. Not the smartest idea but helped me bond with the car :) fortunately I reapected the car and nothing bad happened.

That’s a great first drive. You learned so much about the car.
After a few weeks of owning my car I started becoming too confident. One night I was on an off ramp in the rain and thought I could control the car if it stepped out a little bit. NOPE. Did a 360 and was facing the median shrubbery about 3 ft in front of me. Luckily, the cars coming at me were about a 1/4 mile away. Thats what I get for driving around on 175 section tires in such a rudimentary car.
